Digital terrain analysis, earth surface processes analysis, natural hazards, geomorphology, hydro-geomorphology, lidar, structure-from-motion photogrammetry; new research directions include the analysis of topographic signatures and impact of human activities, with a focus on agricultural landscapes and related land degradation processes.
