Date and place of birth: May 4th, 1979, Ancona (ITA)

Current Position: Assistant Professor at FISPPA Department, University of Padova from May 2011 (from December 2015 permanent position at University)

Research Activities:
Authorship of two monographs, some academic book chapters and about of 50 peer-reviewed international publications. Participation to national and international scientific congresses also as principal speaker or as symposium organizer.
Main research topics are empathy, psychotherapy, psychological intervention, often studied by combining the psychodynamic perspective and the psychophysiological/neural one. Further themes of interest are death and dying, mainly from terminal illnesses perspective, and non-ordinary states of consciousness (i.e.: hypnotic or meditative state).

• Since 2016: member of the Directors Scientific Board of the Padova Neuroscience Center
• Since 2015 member of the Scientific Board of the PhD school in Psychological Sciences of the University of Padova.
• 2010: Licensed as a Psychotherapist
• 2008-2010: Research grant fellowship at the Department of Neurosciences, University of Padova.
• 2008: PhD in Medical, Clinical and Experimental Sciences, specialised in Neurosciences, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Padova.
• 2003: Master’s degree in Psychology, University of Padova. (110/110 cum laude).
