Carla De Francesco is “Ricercatore” in Operations Research at the Department of Mathematics "Tullio Levi-Civita" of Padua University, where she has been serving since 1993. She lectured the classes of Operations Research, Stochastic Optimization, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Programming, and Optimization: Models and Methods. She received her Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science from Padua University in 1994. She is mainly interested in combinatorial optimization, in particular optimization problems related to graphs and partitioning of graphs, optimization models, and flow on time of vehicles on grid graphs. Her research also focuses on stochastic problems: stochastic vehicle routing problem and efficient broadcast of alert messages in vehicular ad-hoc networks. On these topics, she is author of some papers, published in international conference proceedings and scientific journals.
