General expressions of propulsion forces in EDS-MAGLEV transport systems with superconducting coils

In the paper the propulsion force produced by LSMs with superconducting coils propelling EDS-MAGLEV vehicles is determined by means of an analytical three-dimensional method which takes into account different coil arrangements and the harmonic spectrum of the armature currents. © 1993 IEEE
