Artisan Gelato. Italian food on the road(s)

Abstract:
Artisan gelato is produced - and joyously consumed - all along the Italian peninsula. Gelato is undoubtedly an excellent Italian food experience, which is also healthy and genuine. Italian-style ice cream is part of the Mediterranean diet, which includes a set of skills, knowledge, rituals, symbols and traditions concerning processing, cooking, and food consumption typical of the Mediterranean basin. The Mediterranean diet is also on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2013.
