PAVESI GIORGIO

Dr Ing Giorgio Pavesi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of University of Padova. After graduating with honours in Mechanical Engineering, he got the Ph.D. degree in Energy Engineering in 1989. He is the author/co-author of 120+ peer-reviewed papers.
He serves as Rector Delegate/President of the entrance examination commission of the University of Padova, and has served as Head of Energy Engineering degree program.
He is Convenor and Italian delegate of International Electrotechnical Commission IEC, and member of the Board of Directors of AISMEA.
Reviewer of the most relevant International Journal of the sector and member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Turbomachinery Propulsion and Power, La Houille Blanche and Journal of Drainage and Irrigation Machinery Engineering.
He has organized/co-organized international conferences, and has presented reports by invitation in the field of turbomachinery.
Giorgio Pavesi is the Head of Turbomachinery and Energy Systems Research Group https://research.dii.unipd.it/tes/. His research activities are in the turbomachinery and Energy Systems, involving industrial partners and addressing innovation in real applications:
• Instability in turbine-pumps and water storage management.
• Wind Turbines
• Analysis and optimization of organic Rankine cycles for low temperature heat recovery
• Development of optimization algorithms and their application in the energy conversion systems and machines
His teaching experience includes the following courses:
