Previous employments and positions:
1983 - 1985: General Practice in Large Animal Veterinary Surgery, and collaborator with the Italian National Veterinary Service in Livestock Control Program for Brucellosis, Tuberculosis and Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD).
1985 – 1987: Livestock Vet Assistant, Regional Agricultural Organization, Abruzzo Region.
1987 – 1989: - Voluntary Residency for Laboratory Training, Institute of Medical Semeiology and Clinical Methodology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Perugia.

Research area:
Laboratory diagnosis of mastitis in dairy ewes, goat, cow with particular interest in cellular composition of milk. Clinical laboratory control of physiology and nutritional and metabolic disorders of sheep, goat, cattle, and alpacas. Rumen acidosis and hypocalcaemia in dairy cows. Metabolic and nutritional disorders in farm animals. Preventive and environmental medicine in farm animals. Control and diagnosis of welfare disturbances in farm animals.

More than 200 publications on national and international scientific journal and proceedings of national and international congress.
