OBOE ROBERTO

Roberto Oboe obtained a Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua in 1988 and a PhD in Industrial Electronics and Computer Science from the same university in 1992. From 1993 to 2003 he was a researcher in Automation at the University of Padua. From 2005 to 2008 he was Associate Professor in Automatics at the Department of Mechanical and Structural Engineering of the University of Trento. Since 2008 he has been Associate Professor in Automation at the Department of Technique and Management of Industrial Systems, University of Padua.
His interests are in the fields of Motion Control, MEMS device control, Digital Control, Telerobotics and Aptic Devices.
He is the author of more than 200 works and 8 international patents.
He is co-Editor-in-chief of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics. He was editor and member of the Management Committee of the ASME / IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics. He is Associate Editor of the IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society
He is a Fellow of the IEEE and for the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society he has held the roles of Vice President for Planning and Development, Vice President for Technical Activities, AdCom Member and founder and chair of the Technical Committe on Motion Control. For the IEEE Technical Activities Board he is a member of the Societies and Councils Review Committee (SCRC) and the Conference Portfolio Review Committee (CPRC)
