Born in Pordenone (Italy) on 16 October 1966.
1984-1988: Degree (cum laude) in Psychology at the University of Padova, Italy. Graduation thesis published in: Bisiacchi P. et al., 1994, Behav. Brain Res., 64, 173-178.
1989-1993: Ph.D. in the Neurosciences at the Institute of Human Physiology, Medical School, University of Parma. Thesis published in: Mucignat-Caretta C. et al., 1995, J. Physiol. (London), 486, 517-522.

Teaching duties: Applied Physiology, Neurophysiology, Physiology, Neurobiology at the Medical School of the University of Padova, both undergraduates, graduates and Ph.D. courses.
She is active reviewer for more than 60 international peer-reviewed journals, including Animal Behaviour, Theriogenology, Journal of Urology, Journal of Chemical Ecology, Chemical Senses, Proceedings of the Royal Society: Biological Sciences, Frontiers in Zoology, Neurobiology of Disease, Chinese Journal of Physiology, BMC Biochemistry, Scientific Reports. Member of editorial board for: ‘Biology' and 'Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution', Guest Editor for 'Cancers' and 'Frontiers in Neuroanatomy'. She participates in the evaluation process for different national and international funding agencies (Austria, Israel, South Africa), as well as for EU.
From 2004 to 2008 she was responsible for the Center of Excellence on Biomimetics for Artificial Olfaction, GOSPEL Network of Excellence (EU contract: 507610).
