NICOLO' ANTONIO

Antonio Nicolò is Professor of Economics at the Università degli Studi di Padova. He received his BSc in Economics from Università Bocconi in Milan and his MSc and PhD, both in Economics, from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. He was associate professor at the Università degli Studi di Padova before moving to Manchester in September 2013 as Professor of Economic Theory, where he had a permanent position until December 2015 and still currently has an affiliation. He had visiting positions in several institutions, the European University Institute (Fernand Braudel fellowship May-June 2013) the department of Economics at the University of Chicago and the Becker-Friedman Institute (April-June 2012), the department of Economics of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (December 2011- February 2012) and the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin (October-November 2011). He is currently elected member of the Council of the Social Choice and Welfare Society. He was President Elected of the Association of Souther European Economic Theoriests (ASSET) in 2018-2020. His main research interests are social choice and collective decisions, political economy, mechanism design and matching theory and applications.
