Prof. Stefano Schiavon:
• was born in Padova on 1st April 1963;
• full professor in Animal Feeding and Nutrition at DAFNAE dept. of the University of Padova
• He was President of the Master of Science Course in Animal Science and Technology (2005-2013)
• He is member of the educational commission of the MSc course in Animal Scien and Technologies of the university of Padua;
• He was coordinator of Ph.D course in “Animal and Food Science” (2014- 2020).
• He was member (elected) of the Council of the coordinators of the PhD courses of the Padua University;
• He is member (Nominated) of the commission for the partitioning of the resources among PhD courses of the University of Padua (2021-today);
• His scientific activity is reflected by about 270 publications as scientific papers (116 papers indexed by Scopus, H = 21), chapter of books and communications in international or national meetings;
• He is a reviewer for many scientific journals (Livestock Production Science; Livestock Science; Ecological Modelling; Italian Journal of Animal Science, Meat Science, Journal of Animal Science);
• The main research topic concerned; feeding and nutritional strategies to reduce environmental impact of farm animals, particularly of cattle and pigs; mathematical models to predict water intake and water, N and P excretion. Feed evaluation. In vitro fermentation techniques. Simplified models applicable on farm basis have been implemented by the regional regulation for slurry disposal in the Veneto Region
• He has tight collaboration with the regional government Institution and with the largest feed industry of Italy (Veronesi Mangimi). Scientific awards: Premio “Piccoli” (2001);
