RESARCH ACTIVITIES
The research activities have the objectives to develop and employ innovative genomic tools for investigations aimed at the environmental monitoring of bivalve mollusc farming areas and the evaluation of the effects of emerging pollutants on marine species. There are also new lines of research aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change on the production of bivalve species, and at studying host-microbiota interactions in the response to environmental stress.
These studies led to the publication of 72 manuscripts on peer-reviewed international journals (2,635 citations; H-Index= 26; 14/05/2025). The 63% of published manuscripts included foreign institutes.

RESARCH ACTIVITIES
The research activities have the objectives to develop and employ innovative genomic tools for investigations aimed at the environmental monitoring of bivalve mollusc farming areas and the evaluation of the effects of emerging pollutants on marine species. There are also new lines of research aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change on the production of bivalve species, and at studying host-microbiota interactions in the response to environmental stress.
These studies led to the publication of 72 manuscripts on peer-reviewed international journals (2,635 citations; H-Index= 26; 14/05/2025). The 63% of published manuscripts included foreign institutes.
