European Public Health Week 13-17 May 2024 "Health is a political choice". A European Public Health Week (EUPHW) event. EUPHW is an initiative of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), supported by the WHO Regional Office for Europe and co-funded by the European Union. The aim of the event is to explore public mental health policies, from stigma to access to care, to engage with expert keynote speakers, to contribute to key discussions and to help shape more inclusive and effective health frameworks.

Objectives

Professors and researchers from participating universities will take turns to discuss psychiatric risk in elderly; social stigma associated with mental illness; substance abuse in young adults; and perinatal mental health. Each topic will be covered by two speakers. Gamification activities will be used. Main target group: university students. Both face-to-face and online participation possible.
